Sabah and Sarawak are located at East Malaysia. They are part of Malaysia but different life with West Malaysia.
The Sabah , the state with a lot of the beautiful islands and the highest mountain(Mount' Kinabalu ) in the Malaysia.
The Mount' Kinabalu (a.k.a the God Mount') is the highest mountain in Malaysia and also in South-East Asia. The highest peak on the mount is Low's Peak, height at 4,095m. The mount was surrounded by Kinabalu National Park. It is located in Kota Kinabalu, the capital city of Sabah.
At the starting point for climbing, is the entry of the national park. People can enjoy the fresh and cold air and understand the Mount Kinabalu at the starting point. Besides, there have a botanic garden to visit.
Nearby the Mount Kinabalu, Kundasang is another famous tour place. Kundasang is another mountain nearby the Mount Kinabalu. Sabah Tea Garden, memorial park, fish spa, the only Cow Farm in Malaysia , and other places are valuable to be visited in Kundasang. Kundasang have also got the very nice and beautiful environment. The Cow Farm is one of the most beautiful place in Kundasang. It look like New Zealand Cow Farm. There is the place can look the whole Mount Kinabalu, if very lucky (with no cloud).
Gaya Street is another tourism place in the Kota Kinabalu. There have sold a lot of souvenir which homemade by Kandazan-dusun which the one of main race in Sabah. State Museum of Sabah is also a nice place for visit. There have a large whale skeleton. City of Kota Kinabalu is small but beautiful.
There are some small and beautiful islands near the Kota kinabalu. Those islands are nice places for snorkelling, just need around RM45, Take the boat from Jesselton Point in Kota Kinabalu to these islands. The sands, beach, and sea are very beautiful. Besides that, can also enjoy the wind at there. Sabah (K.Kinabalu) is a place which worthy for visiting and enjoying.
The another place i had visited in the Borneo Island is Kuching, Sarawak. The capital city of Sarawak.Kuching been called the city of cat, because the pronunciation is similar with the pronunciation of "Cat(Kucing)" in Malay Language.
The Attap Street (亚答街)/Jalan Carpenter is tourism place for tourist to buy the souvenir and pepper. The Sarawak Pepper is most famous and nicest in Malaysia. This street is a china town in Kuching. All buildings are old chinese style. Beside the street is a beautiful garden. In the Garden, tourist can sit the boat(RM25 per person, around 1hour )on the Sarawak River(Sungai Sarawak)to look around the garden, Astana and New Sarawak legislative assembly building, and landed at the opposite to buy the layer cake(Kek Lapis).
Matang wildlife centre is another tourism place in Sawarak. RM10 per person to walk into jungle to look and enjoy the wildlife. There have lot of animals in the jungle, such as Orangutan, beer, hornbill and so on. Cat Museum(Free entry), the museum with a lot cat design collection of Former chief minister of Sarawak. Sarawak Cultural Village(West-Malaysian: RM60, Student Price: RM15) is a "must-go" place for tourist. In the village, there have houses of many races(Malay house, Chinese house, Orang Iban longhouse and so on) in Sarawak. Enjoy their house, culture, lifestyle in the cultural village. It's very beautiful but quite expensive. And It is worthy for visiting.
Sarawak foods are more in noodles. The Sarawak noodles(Kolo Mee) is very famous and nice. It is only RM3.5 per bowl. Besides, the seafood in sarawak is also very delicious and not expensive(compare with West Malaysia). Kolo Mee is a "Must-Try" food in Sarawak. It totally hard to be found in West Malaysia.
Sarawak is very wide. The distance from one place to another place is very long and far. So, need to use around 5days for visiting whole Kuching if you want to. Another difference between Sarawak and west malaysia is every races can have the meal together in the same restaurant, even tough the non-muslim have the non-halal food, because every restaurant will sold the muslim or halal food. That is hard to seen in West Malaysia and it's shown another real style of 1 Malaysia.
